Jim Hopkins founded Corporate Plans, Inc. (CPI-HR) in 1998 and has built it into one of the larger employee benefits firms in Ohio.  Jim is the President of CPI-HR and under his direction CPI-HR has expanded to offer Payroll/HR, Benefit Administration and HR services to clients not only in Ohio but throughout the U.S.  CPI-HR has grown significantly under his leadership and has been awarded the prestigious Best Places to Work by for the past several years.

Jim is also a founding member and President of Benefit Advisors Network (BAN), the premier national, credentialed network of independent benefit advisory and consulting companies.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Jim graduated from University School and earned a BSBA in Finance from John Carroll University in 1985. Immediately after college he entered the insurance business with Guardian Life, and then grew a benefits practice within a small property and casualty company. He founded Corporate Plans Inc. in 1998, Benefit Advisors Network in 2002, Corporate Payroll, Inc. in 2004, the National Benefit Center in 2011 and was instrumental in the formation of Alera in 2016.

Perry S. Braun has over 25 years in the employee benefits and healthcare industry. As the Executive Director of the Benefit Advisors Network (BAN) Perry is responsible for assisting privately held employee benefit brokerage firms improve their performance and profitability through: best practice learning, sharing of knowledge, proven growth strategies, and enhanced operating efficiencies.

Perry also serves as the Executive Director of the National Benefit Center, the sister organization to Benefit Advisors Network. While BAN maximizes the intellectual capital and collaboration among members, the National Benefit Center focuses on product development. Perry was appointed to serve as the head of both organizations to leverage the members’ collective influence and to ensure continuity between strategic planning and product outcomes.

Prior to his current position as the Executive Director of BAN and the National Benefit Center, Perry was Vice President of Sales and Customer Relations at Medical Mutual of Ohio, and he served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Consortium Health Plans. He also held senior-level positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Ohio.

Kevin Hudson is the Vice President of Sales for Human Capital Management (HCM) at CPI-HR where he is responsible for the direction and management of all HCM sales, Business Development and Client Acquisition operations. Kevin has over 25 years of experience as a District Sales Manager, Corporate Sales Manager and Director of Sales for national and international Human Capital Management, Payroll and Business Retail organizations where he played key roles in driving revenue growth and developing talent.

Kevin works closely with his team, company leadership and support staff to develop effective processes towards a consultative approach in understanding client HCM goals and objectives to the development and implementation of Human Capital Management solutions uniquely tailored to their needs.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace University.

Tim Stover, MD, MBA

Dr. Tim Stover was most recently the President & CEO at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Health System. He was named CEO in February 2012 as a result of his dedication and years of service to Akron General and to the Akron community. He has a passion for providing health care on a local level, and was a driving force behind Akron General’s pioneering approach that emphasizes wellness and prevention as cornerstones to “well care” rather than the “sick care model.”

As a physician and CEO, Dr. Stover understands both the business side of running a health system as well as the practice of medicine. 
Dr. Stover had previously held the position of President of Outpatient Services, Sr. VP Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer.

In addition to his duties as President & CEO, Dr. Stover was the President of Outpatient Services and the visionary and medical director of Akron General’s award winning 217,000 square feet Health and Wellness Center in West Akron that opened its doors in 1996. Also under his leadership, two more 140,000 square foot Health & Wellness Centers were opened in other greater Akron markets. Both Centers include Lifestyles, a medical fitness facility along with other outpatient services and a freestanding, full service 24-hour Emergency Departments.

He was appointed President and Chief Medical Officer of Partners Physician Group in 2006. This is a system owned physician employment model built around a “franchise” concept with over 250 physicians and other providers.

Dr. Stover is board certified and began private practice of OB/GYN in his home state of West Virginia and moved to Akron in 1981. He started in a group practice and in 1993, went out on his own to fulfill a dream of building an outpatient center with an emphasis on prevention, exercise, wellness and diagnostic and surgical care.
