Jim Hopkins, CEO

Jim founded Corporate Plans, Inc. in 1998 and has built it into one of the larger employee benefits firms in Ohio. CPI-HR expanded into payroll and administrative services in 2001 and into HR assist services in 2005. Jim sits on various committees and focus groups with insurance companies. He is also a founding member and President of the Benefit Advisors Network (BAN). 

Brian Meharry, President

Brian is leading the national expansion of the Payroll and Benefits Administration Services Departments within CPI-HR.  Brian’s prior experience as an executive at national entities such as Mangrove, Ceridian, and ADP represents a critically important element of our national expansion strategy.  

Elaine Ferretti, P.H.R., Vice President Operations

Elaine oversees the operations of the Payroll Department and Human Resources within CPI-HR.  Elaine’s prior experience as the Vice President of Human Resources for a publically-traded company quickly led to her promotion as the Vice President of Operations at CPI-HR at the end of 2008.  Elaine has held her PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification since 1999. 

Wendy Drumwright, Director of Benefits Administration & Compliance

With over 15 years of private industry experience in the areas of HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, USERRA, HRA and Cafeteria Plan administration and compliance, Wendy joined CPI-HR as the Director of Benefits Administration and Compliance.  Wendy is a certified HIPAA and COBRA Administrator. 

Deane Elek, Director  

Deane joined Benefit Advisors Network after serving as Vice President of Wells Fargo Insurance Services and as Director of Operations for a benefits brokerage firm in Cleveland, Ohio.  As Director of Benefit Advisors Network, Deane broadens strategic alliances, develops contracts with key carriers, and works with Benefit Advisors Network members to maximize cost-effective resources, tools and best practices. 

Bill Thurston, Chief Marketing Officer   

Bill, a 20-year veteran of the insurance industry who previously served as Chief Marketing Officer for Medical Group Insurance Services (MGIS) and then as Senior Vice President and Officer in Charge of Sales, Marketing and Operations with NFP Benefits, is charged with expanding the reach of Benefit Advisors Network into strategically selected markets nationwide.

David Rearick, D.O., M.B.A., C.P.E., Medical Director

David received his DO from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, and his MBA from Emory University. He is known nationally as an expert in the fields of wellness, benefit design and oversight of care management programs.  In addition to his frequent speaking engagements and professional articles, Dr. Rearick recently authored “Good Health is Good Business-an Implementation Guide for Corporate Wellness.” He is a board certified family physician with 20 years of clinical experience. 

Peter J. Marathas, Jr., Compliance Director

Peter received his J.D. from the University Of Illinois College Of Law, magna cum laude, his M.A. from Bradley University, summa cum laude, and his B.A. from Bradley University, cum laude.  Peter’s expertise and extensive experience is in dealing with employee benefits, retirement plans, welfare plans, and executive compensation arrangements.  He assists his clients with issues arising under the various laws and regulations governing these types of arrangements including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, the IRS code and other federal and state laws.  He has been recognized as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in the practice of employee benefits and compensation law. 

Armand Dilanchian, R.Ph., Pharmacy Director

Armand is a clinically trained pharmacist with over seventeen years of experience in managed care and pharmacy benefits management. His previous experience includes working at Physicians Health Plan, where he served as Vice President of Pharmacy and Physician Network Management. Prior to that, he was the Director of Pharmacy and Ancillary Services for FHP of Texas. Armand is a graduate of the University of Utah, College of Pharmacy, and served as clinical adjunct faculty for three years. He has presented at numerous national programs for pharmacists and has published a number of articles in industry journals. Armand is unique with both clinical training and practical experience in successfully managing prescription drug costs.
